Before your staffers get down to the brass tacks of discussing your products and services, furnish them with notebooks and pens – featuring your company's logo. Pat O'Reilly, a manufacturing systems engineer for Skyline, came to us with this idea. He attended a conference in San Francisco, where he researched product information management systems. Just prior to a long software demonstration, the exhibitor handed him a notebook. He returned home with it note-filled. Pat says his notes about their systems are not commingled with the competition. And, by the way, he still uses the notebook with its logo and contact information.
